Interested in joining the Lab?

Are you interested in how trees "breathe" and "drink" in a changing climate? Do you want to work at the intersection of cutting-edge plant physiology and practical forest management?

In our research group, we don’t just install sensors, we develop complex systems for tree monitoring that allow us to see and hear how trees respond to extreme weather events. From the boreal stretches of Sweden to the agroforestry highlands of Rwanda, we use high-resolution sensors to decode tree stress and water uptake.

What we look for

We value curiosity, technical grit, and a "get it done" attitude. We are looking for students (BSc/MSc/PhD) and interns who:

  • Love the Outdoors: Are excited about field work, often in challenging weather or remote locations.

  • Are Tech-Curious: Have an interest (or experience) in environmental sensors, electronics, or data logging.

  • Are Data-Driven: Possess a foundational interest in R, Python, or JMP for turning sensor "noise" into physiological insights.

  • Value Impact: Want their research to influence real-world forestry and farming practices.
